Meet Anu - Founder of Shvaas
Corporate Leader. Yoga Teacher. Wellbeing Advocate.
“What has to be taught first is the breath.” – Confucius
“If you really want wellness, you need to go back to basics and make sure the foundation of your health — your breathing — is good.” – Dr. Belisa Vranich
Shvaas means breath — the life force that connects, grounds, and sustains us. It’s simple, yet profound. And it’s where transformation begins.
I created Shvaas to help individuals and organisations nurture, energise, connect, and grow — through conscious leadership, wellbeing, and the power of breath.
My Journey
Born and raised in India, I moved to Australia at the age of 23. Over the next two decades, I built a career across top-tier consulting firms, ASX 100 corporations, financial services, telecommunications, and government sectors. I’ve been fortunate to be recognised as one of the top women executives in Australia — a position earned through years of dedication, high performance, and purposeful leadership.
But after years in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, I began to feel the deeper cost of burnout and imbalance. Like many leaders, I was functioning — but not always flourishing.
This led me to seek something more sustainable. That search brought me to yoga.
Yoga as a Turning Point
Yoga found its way into my life in 2012. What began as a physical practice soon became a holistic life path. I trained in Hatha, Vinyasa, and Iyengar yoga, completing hundreds of hours of study, and becoming a registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Australia — the peak body for yoga in the country.
What started with alignment and strength evolved into mindfulness, breathwork, self-acceptance, and inner quiet. Yoga began to nourish me — physically, mentally, and spiritually.
It transformed me from the inside out.
And I realised: this practice is not separate from leadership. It’s what makes leadership whole.
Why Shvaas
Through Shvaas, I bring together two powerful worlds — my deep corporate leadership experience and my dedication to the science and soul of yoga.
I design and deliver simple yet powerful programs that transform how we lead, work, and live. These include:
Executive offsite retreats
Corporate wellbeing and leadership programs
Speaking at industry forums, conferences, schools and universities
Custom sessions to amplify wellbeing, leadership, and personal performance
My mission is simple: to empower people to reconnect with themselves, tap into their potential, and lead with clarity, strength, and compassion.
Because true wellbeing is not a luxury. It’s your foundation.
In today’s complex world, peace, balance, and purpose can feel out of reach. But if we don’t create space for it — for ourselves and those we lead — we lose what matters most.
I’m here to help you reclaim it.
Let me show you how!
